Energy Audits
Centennial Utilities is committed to helping customers save energy in their homes. That is why we are offering energy audits, a $125 value, for only $25.
A state certified auditor will conduct a comprehensive inspection that includes:
* visual inspection of furnace and central air conditioner efficiency;
* visual inspection of windows and doors;
* furnace safety tests that include draft and carbon monoxide testing;
* visual inspection of attic and wall insulation;
* water heater and pipes;
* household appliances.
The auditor will provide you with a prioritized list of recommendations, a cost savings analysis for suggested improvements, and an analysis of your energy bill. The auditor will also answer any questions you may have regarding energy savings in your home.
For an additional fee (payable to the auditor at time of inspection) he/she will conduct a blower door test for $30, and conduct an infrared scan of the home for $100. The scan shows areas of the home where heat is escaping.
